Sheneededtherun looked to have been handed a second victory in succession at Catterick when old rival Milly Baloo crashed out at the last but she was overhauled close home. But Sparkling River is from three from three around here so last month’s Uttoxeter scorer is respected, despite top weight. Blameitalonmyroots came back to form when second at Wincanton but SOCKSY (NAP) ran a fine race after a break when third at Chepstow and looks as though she’s going to be even better over fences than hurdles. Marienstar looks held on the form book and Still Believing is hard to catch right while Ruby Yeats and Phoeniciana were both beaten last time in lesser company.
