Indian Hawk was made favourite for a Grade 2 at Doncaster after winning his maiden at Ludlow but finished tailed off and there is no guarantee that this big drop in distance will spark a return to form. Lisdoonvarna Lad, also penalised, fared better in a Grade 2 at Haydock but this will be his first attempt beyond 2m. LYGON ROCK hails from a yard in terrific form and he’s only lost out narrowly in two runs to date over hurdles over this sort of distance. The form of both races has a solid look about it and Henry Daly’s charge can make it third-time lucky as he’s rated 8lb higher than Market Rasen and Plumpton third Weebill.
