Heat of the Night, Element of Truth and Nufoos are the three we like here and the vote is given to Heat of the Night. The selection has been in cracking form but she then disappointed when chasing the hat-trick at Kempton last time. She was unsuited by the cut in the ground that day and with the return to this faster ground the key to her chance she should go well. Element of Truth rates the main danger as she failed to get the trip at Goodwood last time but she had previously won well over 1m at Newmarket when beating Echo of Light. Nufoos is the other obvious one with a leading chance and the form of her second behind Camacho at Sandown last time reads especially well in the context of this race. That rival has since run well at the Royal meeting at York so she is respected tonight. Winds of Time has done little wrong in her two races to date and she is another with a chance, but in a fascinating contest we will return to Heat of the Night as our idea of the winner.
