Maghazi gets the confident vote to win this with River of Babylon, Marko Jadeo and Roman Maze rating the main dangers. The selection won with a little in hand last time out when beating Anchor Date and although this looks tougher she is a scopey sort and is taken to win again. River Of Babylon rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Langford but he is more exposed than the selection and for that reason he is opposed. Marko Jadeo is another that could go well as this is an easier race than the one he finished behind Polar Magic in last time. 1 Roman Maze is the most exposed in the field and needs to improve to score and for the winner we return to Maghazi.
Marko Jadeo (IRE) 33-1 (9-4) Held up, stayed on from over 1f out, never dangerous, 8th of 13, 4l behind Polar Magic (9-5) at Southwell 7f hcp (4) gs in Apr.
Roman Maze 14-1 (8-4) Led over 4f out, soon hung right, headed just over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong, 8th of 10, 2 1/2l behind Katiypour (8-1) at W'hampton 6f hcp (C1) pol in Mar.
River of Babylon 9-1 (9-1) Slowly away, soon in touch, ridden over 2f out, staying on when not much room inside final furlong, kept on, 4th of 7, 1 1/2l behind Langford (9-0) at Doncaster 1m stk 0-80 (4) gf in Jun.
Maghazi (IRE) 4-7fav (9-0) Made all, ridden over 1f out, kept on well under pressure inside final furlong, won at Thirsk 7f mdn stk (5) gf in Jun beating Anchor Date (9-0) by 1/2l, 7 ran.
