In depth

Verdict

Plenty of these have something to prove at present including Samuel Jackson, who was pulled up at Exeter last month along with Volcano, who won this 12 months ago. Boughtbeforelunch won over a shorter trip at Leicester but has won over an extended 3m1f in the past, though was well beaten when tried over this distance at Fakenham last May. Cuban Pete has been out of sorts for a while and Shanty Alley has failed to complete in two starts this season but Vinnie Dev has claims on last month’’s second at Lingfield when Premier D'troice was fourth. THE NEWEST ONE has twice finished second here and should appreciate this stamina test having won over 3m2f at Newton Abbot in the autumn. The seven-year-old can concede weight all round.
