Verdict

Welsh Saint proved his stamina and was possibly a shade unlucky at Exeter and looks the stable pick ahead of Sleight Of Hand but there was plenty of promise in the run of FIRAK at Chepstow when Dan Skelton had left something to work on. It will be disappointing if the four-year-old can’t build on that as he gains experience. Useful bumper horse Some Detail was heavily punted at Carlisle and is another likely improver and Towards The Dawn was very green at Ludlow at the start of the year. Several others look capable of winning in novice company including Kalooki, Clondaw Promise and Hacksaw Ridge.
