Verdict

SILVER KATE came again to edge out Voramar Two over 3m at Chepstow. The mare jumped well on what was only her second start over fences and looks like being every bit as tough over the larger obstacles as she was over timber. With the extra also certain to suit, she gets the nod ahead of Cannington Brook who has been unlucky to come up against some classy staying novices in his three runs to date and should be winning soon. Alfie Sherrin was a decent stayer over hurdles and had few problems opening his account over fences at Wetherby after a sighter at Bangor. He still has some scope but has to concede weight all round in this.
