Verdict
Scales went up a massive 12lb for his victory at Ludlow last month and fell when mid-division back there a few days later. Youngdocgallagher also shot up the weights after an easy victory at Uttoxeter in May and was unable to cope in better company subsequently. The four-year-old Brise Coeur was sent to France for his latest run but showed no sign of improvement while a first-time visor will need to work wonders on Darnitnev after he was beaten a long way on heavy going at Chepstow. DALIANCE will be wearing blinkers for the first time and though his form is much stronger over fences he made a promising return to action after a very long lay-off over timber at Southwell last month and that should have put him spot-on.
