Verdict

BORN SURVIVOR was an impressive winner between the flags at Broughshane in April and went for £220,000 at the Cheltenham Sales. The form of that victory hasn't worked out but he's an exciting prospect and is taken to make a successful debut at the expense of Beware The Bear. Nicky Henderson's charge, a dual point-to-point runner-up, occupied the same spot on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter though the winner has since been beaten when odds-on. Kerisper, an easy winner between the flags, jumped better when runner-up at Southwell a month ago and can be expected to make further progress as can Minella Charmer now that he's been sent hurdling.
