Verdict

There will be no more popular winner on the evening if Latalomne gains some compensation for his mishap at the Cheltenham Festival, and the terms of this evening's contest give him every chance of getting the better of the admirable Cenkos, who has been kept busy of late with some hard races in top-class company. The Brian Ellison-trained gelding does not have too many miles on the clock over fences and, as he receives 10lb for his old rival, he has a solid chance of making his freshness count. Eskleybrooke has the ability to make a race of it but may find himself struggling with the two principle players in the closing stages.
