Spinetail Rufous comes here in great heart and can bring up a straight hat-trick of wins, with Caerphilly Gal, Millfields Dream, The Old Soldier and Zhitomir rated best of the others. The selection has blossomed of late, winning at Kempton and Brighton. Ok, he's been raised seven pounds for the latest of those wins but, with his confidence on a high, he can still put up a bold show from his good draw. Caerphilly Gal has also been running well and, with her rider taking off a decent three pounds, she can be placed into the hat. Chantelle is back to below her winning Irish mark, while Millfields Dream is also interesting in that his rider's claim brings him back to a winning rating and he has been fitted with cheekpieces for the first time today. Similarly, The Old Soldier can be given a chance based on the rider's claim logic, while Zhitomir is well weighted on his 2002 form and is another to come into the reckoning. Redoubtable continues to defy his years and is a course and distance winner. However, given that he is in good heart and has been allotted a fair draw, Spinetail Rufous is taken to score again.
