Mister Watson was almost certainly flattered by his second at Sandown in February and he stopped as if shot at Carlisle next time when a short-priced favourite. LE BATEAU is Flat bred but did win a Ludlow bumper in December and he will have had plenty of schooling so is preferred to fellow bumper winner Sayadam, who might eventually prefer a stiffer test of stamina. French import Kepy Blanc is likely to need this but is one to note for the future and King Ferdinand and War Call are others with time on their side.
