MAYBERRY made her debut in a race that is working out well and she's preferred to Penny Queen and Miss Nightshade. Emma Lavelle has enjoyed a far better season with her runners in bumpers than in the past and Mayberry showed enough in a decent race at Newbury to believe that a race such as this should be well within her compass. Penny Queen is an obvious danger as she hails from a yard that does well in these contests and she, too, has shown ability on the racecourse. Miss Nightshade was introduced in a decent race at Sandown where she was far from disgraced when finishing in midfield; normal improvement could see her in the mix. Timmy Murphy is an interesting booking for Jenny's Gold and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of her chances and the others in the line-up but Mayberry is the one that they all have to beat.
