DREAM BOLT’s last two victories have come off higher marks. After a second at Stratford last month, the 10-year-old may enjoy a fitness advantage over some of these. Templehills is a course and distance winner but still 5lb higher than when successful at Fakenham in April. Dandridge would have a chance on his best form for Arthur Moore but Chirico Vallis is still having problems with his jumping and the fences come thick and fast around here. This might be a little too competitive for Rear Admiral and Thomas Crapper nowadays.

Chirico Vallis (FR) 20-1 (11-11) Tracked leaders on outer, slipped on landing 5th, lost place next, behind 7th, stayed on into modest 3rd after 2 out, no chance with clear pair, 3rd of 7, 20l behind Wells De Lune (11-9) at Cartmel 2m 1f hcp (2) sft in Aug.
