Artimino looks the pick of the experienced runners but there are some interesting newcomers, including Al Shemali and Tetouan and we will select the first named. Sir Michael Stoute's juveniles are starting to hit form and this well bred son of Medicean will not have to be too special to land this prize. He cost 110 thousand guineas as a yearling and is half brother to the smart Tungsten Strike. Obviously he will get a lot further in time but this trip shouldn't be a problem at this stage of his career. Tetouan is also bred in the purple being by Danehill Dancer out of the useful dam Souk. Roger Charlton can get one ready first time out and the market should be watched closely. Artimino showed plenty of promise on his Nottingham debut and the experience will not be lost on him. Karoo Blue and Deadline have also shown enough to warrant plenty of respect, but on this occasion we will take a chance with the first time out Al Shemali.
