In depth

Verdict

STORMING STRUMPET separated a couple of subsequent winners when runner-up at Taunton in March and that experience should stand her in good stead here. She can get the better of the hurdling debutants Surtee Du Berlais and Amour D'Or, a bumper winner at Newbury in December. Via Volupta may prove best of the rest as she showed a glimpse of promise on her racecourse debut in a bumper at Fakenham and is related to hurdle winners in France.
