A poor contest rounds off the card but something has to win and the principals look to be Moon Catcher, Faraway Echo and Wood Lord and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection has been very disappointing of late but in the hope that the return to the minimum trip on softer ground works the oracle he is given one last chance to get his head in front. Moon Catcher rates the main danger as he showed improved form when beating Wilfred last time out. This looks easier but his seven pound penalty may just find him out and for that reason he is opposed. Faraway Echo is another that could go well. He was a fair third behind Hernando's Boy last time out. That form has since been franked so he is worth noting in the market. Of the remainder Frambo's best form is on a fast surface while Soleil D'Hiver and Middleham Rose look to have stamina limitations and in a race where stakes should be kept to the minimum for the winner we return to Wood Lord.
