In depth

Verdict

Yasir has shown promise on three of four hurdling starts and was a close second to Tender Surprise here last time, who is thought good enough to contest the opener against better rivals. He should run well again. Kyles Faith hasn't shone in selling hurdles of late and, if anything, looks a better proposition over fences, whilst the frustrating Mister Bricolage is quickly returned to selling company on his second start for Peter Bowen after folding tamely at Perth last time when seemingly going well. This looks to be his grade nowadays and he's not ruled out. Fair Breeze isn't totally discounted off bottomweight but a chance is taken with VUJIYAMA. Clearly not a leading light for the O'Neill team, he pulled up last time when a well-backed favourite and doesn't look straightforward. However, he does have some fair form at his best over timber and could be good enough if over whatever ailed him the last day.
