This looks wide open, and although Jonjo O'Neill's been in fine form and we respect the chances of top weight Ellen Street, we'll side with the pick of Tim Vaughan's duo PARADISE EXPECTED, ahead of stablemate Changing Lanes and Skipper's Lad. Paradise Expected is more used to hurdling, but has a better strike rate over the bigger fences with one win from four as opposed to one from 20, and that success came here over a slightly shorter trip. She won't want there to have been too much rain, and has plenty in hand with top weight Ellen Street, who tries chasing for the first time. She's the least exposed, with only three runs, but hasn't raced for more than a year. Changing Lanes has been consistent, but raced mainly over hurdles, although on his chase debut here he was a decent runner-up. He may be carrying too much weight though as he still learns about these obstacles. September Moon is the other runner for the Vaughan yard, but her best days seem well behind her. Skipper's Lad looks the pick of Colin Tizzard's duo, with the other being Classic Clover; his best performance to date came here last time out when second over this distance, and if there's further improvement to come he could break his maiden tag. Few of these can be discounted, but we like the claims of Paradise Expected.
