Verdict

Yet another very tricky contest and a speculative vote is given to Izzykeen, with Golfagent and Lawyer Des Ormeaux put forward as the main rivals. Sue Smith's six-year-old gained a deserved first victory over hurdles back in December at Catterick, and ran a blinder on his return to the racecourse at Hexham last month. It was his handicap debut and he was just pipped by Rambles Holly, with some solid performers behind. He should improve on that effort and looks the one to beat today. Lawyer Des Ormeaux was a game winner at Newton Abbot on his British debut and looks on a fair mark for his first run in a handicap. He should play a big part in the finish, as should the consistent Golfagent. This seven-year-old landed a couple of race last year and he has shown steady improvement this year culminating in an excellent third behind Mick Murphy here. A similar run today would make him a big threat to all. Diamond Cutter looks the pick of the remainder, but Izzykeen looks the pick on recent form and is a tentative choice.
