Verdict

HEREDITARY RULE is 2-4 over larger obstacles and John McConnell does well with his raids across the Irish Sea. He was far from disgraced over hurdles last time after taking to fences well during the spring and early summer. He does have to concede plenty of weight to his rivals but can make his class count. Shetland Bus has yet to fire over fences since joining the Newland yard and Imperial Sachin's was 0-6 over fences with Gordon Elliott but made a winning start for Fergal O'Brien over timber in a small-field handicap this month. It will be interesting to see if he can now do something similar over fences. Tigerten ran well enough on chasing bow at Stratford last month and better can be expected with that experience under his belt.
