Verdict

WBEE has to defy topweight in order to make it seven wins from his last eight starts, not to mention a rise of 34lb in the weights since the first of those seven wins in April last year. He was gallant in landing a competitive Cartmel Class 2 affair latest and now actually drops a grade to Class 3. His winning run is going to come to a close sooner or later but he's hard to desert at present. Geordie Des Champs has a course and distance win on his CV and ran well here last time too. It will be interesting to see if Brian Hughes hangs on to him a little longer this time around as he looked to empty a little when seemingly travelling so well that day. Mulberry Hill is the tricky one as she's progressed steadily over five starts but now attempts a major hike in trip. She'll be dangerous off 10st-7lb if stamina holds out.
