In depth

Verdict

Jac The Legend justified market support over an extended trip at Sedgefield on his reappearance and has to go on the short list again, despite having been raised 6lb. PURE SCIENCE has never quite scaled the heights anticipated but won over fences here last year off a higher mark following a break. Conditions today won't be a problem and the seven year old can win for a second time over hurdles. Sandown fourth Little Boy Boru rarely runs a bad race and San Telm was favourite when third over course and distance last month. Ashbrittle will have benefited from his run at Wetherby and The Horsechesnut won here on soft going in March, though is 10lb higher for his comeback.
