Verdict

Agent Saonois improved considerably under the stable 10lb conditional to score here recently and remains well treated getting weight all round. This looks tougher but a repeat of that run would see him involved. Ranco also progressed from modest efforts to score on a first start for Nigel Hawke and is not out of it with his 7lb penalty, although it will make life harder. Balearic is difficult to assess on handicap bow after only the two runs but is a likely improver who should be in the shake-up. However, TEN PAST MIDNIGHT has been competitive the last twice at this level, winning at Southwell from Leopolds Rock, who then turned the tables here three weeks later. It was still a good effort, Sean Bowen gets on well with him, and a good run is expected. Annual Review is also respected off topweight.
