Blencathra Bay ran well on debut and can win today at the main expense of Long Hop and Rocky River. The usual cliche of 'the betting will help' could be applicable here but to be perfectly frank 'who knows' as the market invariably sends out false signals. If however a yard who do like a touch have one who is backed then take note, however without that information it is Blencathra Bay who can oblige. He was second to Blackpool Billy at Towcester last time and ran with enough promise to suggest that it won't be too long before he goes one better. Of the others who have run, Sam McCoombe holds the best form but a penalty certainly makes life tougher. Campannello needs consideration, along with Little Al and Long Hop, who along with stablemate Silver Spinner, represent stables capable of providing bumper winners. Sparkys Reflection is yet another who needs to be considered, however in a typically tough betting race for punters, it is Blencathra Bay who is fancied to oblige.
