A competitive, if moderate, handicap hurdle with plenty of the 13 runners holding claims. Among those worthy of a mention are topweight Rock'n Cold, who should strip fitter for his reappearance at Leicester when pulled up last month, a comment that also applies to Newcastle fourth Ireland's Eye. The Venetia Williams-trained Noisetine ran better behind Giocomo at Chepstow last time and should improve further for that but still remains one to have reservations about. Jaseur has claims on the form shown when successful at Wetherby earlier this month but an 8lb rise since tempers enthusiasm, while Chopneyev does not look particularly well treated on his handicap debut. Audiostreetdotcom ran respectably behind Jurancon II at Cheltenham's Open meeting but disappointed at Fontwell subsequently and the tentative selection is Trained Bythe Best. The daughter of Alderbrook lives up to her name as she is trained by Martin Pipe and, having run her best race over hurdles when third behind the progressive Sadler's Secret at Haydock last month on her most recent start, she could be running into form.
