Verdict

A Tail Of Intrigue easily landed a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot on Friday and has earned a penalty so this looks tougher. Grape Tree Road has been absent since landing a maiden hurdle at Cartmel in May but has some scope. Deadly Sting won over course and distance earlier this month and might still be improving. It's significant that McCoy rides the top weight in preference to Worcester third Stonemadforspeed. KODICIL can be hard to catch right but looked to be on good terms with himself when winning a 2m handicap on the Flat at Ripon last month and a repeat effort here would put him bang in the picture.
