Requin is interesting especially if the market speaks in his favour, however GLEBEHALL BAY is capable of better and is narrowly preferred to Qollioure. Venetia Williams' gelding was well-held here last time out but as a result he is 2lb lower in the handicap today. Giles Hawkins is a good young rider and if he can get this fellow to jump with more fluency then the partnership can emerge victorious. Qollioure has always shaped as if capable of better and is interesting now going handicapping off a mark of 100 with a tongue-tie added, Cybergenic is not getting any younger and recent efforts have not been outstanding, whilst Federstar needs a market check on this first run for 286 days. Of more interest though is Requin who has been given a couple of months off since finishing fifth on his UK debut. This Gallic recruit shaped with plenty of promise there and although his French form is hard to weigh up there is every chance that he will be better than this current mark of 104. Painted Sky should be considered as well although he showed little at Southwell last time out. The market could be informative in this race, but without that information we are happy to side with Glebehall Bay.
