In depth

Verdict

A large field goes to post for this novices hurdle but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning; with the Be Be King edging preference over Always Waining and Bengo. The selection, who was a fair sort in bumpers, is sure to have been well schooled for this hurdling debut and, with the step up in trip expected to suit, he will be hard to beat. Always Waining rates the main danger, as he has won his last three races in good style. He won with plenty in hand when beating Penneck last time. However, he may be vulnerable in trying to give weight and a beating to some less exposed sorts. Bengo is another worthy of respect as he dead heated on his debut over hurdles with Il Duce. He is sure to improve but he may struggle under his penalty. Of the remainder: Briery Fox is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market. But for the winner we return to Be Be King who is taken to win this before going on to better things.
