NonRunner

In depth

Verdict

Sue Smith’s runners have been generally needing an outing but any market interest in newcomer Frimeur De Lancray would be significant as he’s by Saddle Maker, sire of the likes of Apple’s Jade and Bristol de Mai. Fidelio Vallis was second at Auteuil this year but that form hasn’t worked out, though the switch to Paul Nicholls is a plus. Holly James has also changed stables since winning a Kelso bumper in May and Prudhomme and EMMAS JOY are other bumper winners likely to make their mark over timber. Both have winning form on soft going but the latter has a mares’ allowance in her favour so may just come out best on this occasion. Royal Crown and Royal Crown are others to note for future reference.
