In depth

Verdict

Sirobbie was in good form in the spring but all of his victories came on much quicker surfaces. De Rasher Counter is probably having a pipe-opener before reverting to fences and De Vous A Moi and The Two Amigos are others likely to need this. Culture De Sivola is high enough in the weights on her return and Tea Time Fred is upped in class as he bids for a four-timer. Mcnamaras Band should be capable of better this season, however, and Final Choice has improved since stepping up in trip recently, though has a penalty for an easy course and distance victory 12 days ago. Pobbles Bay will enjoy the going and could figure if in the mood but the handicapper has given a real chance to SIR WILL, who is already proven over track and trip and on the ground and is now only 3lb higher than when successful at Ascot last year.
