The Wife's Sister should take plenty of beating here with Blackthorn and Barking Mad rated as the main danger. The selection finished a clear second behind Prairie Law on this track last time and with this drop in trip sure to suit this mare she is taken to lead them home. Blackthorn ran well in defeat at Leicester last time and has no trip or ground worries today but he has recently reserved his best efforts for that track and there is every chance that he will not reproduce the form of that most recent run today. Barking Mad has paid his way on the flat in recent years and he certainly is worth noting in the market on his hurdling debut. Mist Opportunity has shown a modicum of ability but will need to improve to get competitive, although the drop to selling grade makes him a contender. However, for the winner we are happy to jump on The Wife's Sister.
