Verdict

Five Colours, Major Catch and Triple Mint are the three for the shortlist in the opener and the vote is given to Five Colours. The selection won at Hereford before finishing a good second behind Yaboya at Leicester last time. He will relish today's ground conditions and he sets the standard for the rest. Major Catch won well last time when beating Mr Mischief at Sedgefield and he certainly looks to be going the right way. He is another who will have ground conditions to his liking and he should give our selection plenty to think about. Triple Mint made a pleasing debut over fences when finishing third behind The Duke's Speech at Ayr. He made a bad mistake when travelling well that day and with the step-up in trip ;likely to suit he has to be considered. Clemax was returning from a break when last seen out and should strip fitter today so is another with place claims, but for the winner we will return to Five Colours.
