Milton Des Bieffes returns to hurdling after a successful stint over fences, but he looks a shade high in the weights now so is passed over in favour of Aitch Doubleyou. The selection won over course and distance back in December and performed with credit last time out in a similar contest to today's. He is two from two at the track so must have very solid claims indeed. Major Oak has been performing consistently well recently and was only beaten half a length last month at Wetherby. That was a gutsy effort from the front on similar ground to today so he rates a danger. Milton Des Bieffes is also likely to be in the front rank, and off a mark 7lbs lower than his chase one, he must have solid claims for his regular jockey. Mr Strachan would be much more interesting on better ground so is passed over, whilst Harbour Breeze should step up on his debut run over hurdles. Ultimately this looks an open contest, however we will return to Aitch Doubleyou as our idea of the winner.
