Verdict

Any number of chances in an open affair which sees Alborz return to timber after four efforts on the level, most recently when a close second at Newcastle last month. He retains plenty of scope for improvement over timber and commands respect. The Road Ahead also makes appeal at the other end of the handicap after promising runs the last twice and rates an interesting proposition with Nick Scholfield an excellent booking. Kilflora and Ctappers are also noteworthy but FINDING YOUR FEET makes slightly more appeal. A progressive type, the O'Neill gelding was a decisive winner at Carlisle last month over a similar trip and looks just the sort to come on again. James Huxham has already landed a couple of wins for this yard this term and his 10lb allowance could prove extremely valuable.
