Verdict

Bumper winner PRESENT CHIEF ran his best race to date over hurdles when second over this trip at Fakenham in March. He could have done without a 2lb rise but is still preferred to Prussia With Love, who lacks a change of gear but still has stamina to prove. It’s a surprise to see Cheltenam De Vaige back over hurdles and he may be having a confidence-booster but there are possibilities about Goldrapper while Mood For Mischief probably has scope for improvement.
