RANDJO is the call in this contest with Cross Kenyon and Silver Bay also worthy of note. The selection was a big price when scoring on the flat at Deauville and while unsighted in two starts for the Alners, his breeding suggests that a little bit of give underfoot would not be an issue. Cross Kennon was let in lightly by the assessor and has made him pay with three successes in handicaps from four runs. He has improved greatly since leaving Henrietta Knight but this run will follow something of an absence. Silver Bay was a beaten favourite on seasonal reappearance but that was a novice event where the winner was rated 130. Peppertree Lane was a very smart flat horse in his day. His Hereford run represented a step back in the right direction though the percentage call is that he is probably not the horse he once was. Blazing Desert won a Fontwell maiden though has struggled since sent handicapping. Wizzard Of Us has to bounce back from a bitter disappointment at Haydock especially as the ground could not be the issue. Ben Ami's chances will increase manyfold if the anticipated rain is at the heavy side of current estimates. Randjo could be value in a race where few can be ruled out.
