Possibly the weakest novice hurdle of the weekend but this makes life no easier so KHUN JOHN is the most speculative of picks with Turbo Shindy and It's A Date also considered. Willie Musson's stable have had a couple of winners though reading this stable's form is notoriously difficult. He failed to win when trained by Victor Dartnall though with a recent run on the flat and a hurdling effort in the locker, he should not be wanting for fitness. Turbo Shindy is a recent winner of a Novice Chase at Cartmel. That track is notoriously difficult to translate form from so a little caution is advised. It's A Date is respected from a top yard that are having winners. A dual scorer on the flat over the summer, he presumably would not want conditions too testing. Mallusk was placed in a couple of Irish points though any rain would conceivably play to his strengths. Perfectus took a bumper in this country before finishing tailed off in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse last time out. Not a race to be lingering too long over and Khun John is offered up to a minimal level of interest.
