In depth

Verdict

Irish Symphony is pretty much exposed and had Alfie Wills a long way behind when second to Brick Red over C&D eight days ago, though Kim Bailey's gelding will have needed the experience that day and should do better in time. UN BON P'TIT GARS is from the same family as useful hurdler/chaser Requin and ran well for a long way in what's turned out to be a decent novice hurdle at Chepstow last month. He'll know more today and gets the nod. Stagecoach Jasper was second to the long odds-on Absinthe in a four-runner race at Wetherby on his hurdling debut and looks best of the rest.
