In depth

Verdict

Spare Cash, Forty Acers and Pams Oak look the ones to focus on here, with Spare Cash taken to oblige. A fast ground winner last year, Fourty Acers has reverted to hurdles after a chasing mishap. He ran a sound race in defeat last time, rarely runs a bad race, and despite shouldering top weight looks sure to give a good account. Pams Oak is a three time winner over fences but has yet to run over the smaller obstacles. He has won on fast ground but has a nineteen month absence to overcome. After trouncing his field on a soft surface last time, Spare Cash will be a popular choice. He is yet to race on fast ground but being by Zaffaran he should handle it. Spare Cash can score again.
