In depth

Verdict

Fergal O'Brien is rocking along with a 30 per cent strike rate in the new season and Surtitle has already contributed to the total with a last-gasp success at Huntingdon. He faces similar conditions now and another prominent showing is envisaged off a 5lb higher mark. Rattle Owl has been running at a higher level but still has a job on at the weights and THE PLIMSOLL LINE makes more appeal on the back of a good runner-up effort behind the prolific Inferno Sacree. The Scott gelding was ten lengths clear of a useful sort at this level in Monjules in third and he'll be in the mix if replicating that level. Halligator rates a danger as he's only had four starts over hurdles and surely has more to offer, whilst Cluain Aodha and Copper Beach, preferred in that order, cannot be confidently discounted.
