Incas absolutely bolted up last time and is taken to defy a penalty, with Pams Oak, Flight Command, Xellance and Mill Bank all expected to make their presence felt. Having plied his trade round Perth since coming over from Ireland to join Lucinda Russell, Incas found his form with a vengeance at Cartmel nine days ago, galloping his rivals into the ground with a dominant showing. The softer conditions no doubt played to his strengths, and he now has a 7lb penalty to overcome, so we should not get too carried away just yet, but he is taken to follow up. Pams Oak lines up in form as well, but the feeling is that he may have had a hard race when just getting the better of Cross The Highman at Market Rasen 11 days ago and is worth taking on. Flight Command has always threatened to deliver more than he has since going chasing, but a little break may have revitalised him, while Xellance went out like a light at Market Rasen last time and is perhaps best watched. Mill Bank was a beaten favourite at Worcester and the 11-year-old will find this trip on the short side, so we have to go for Incas who can prove that his runaway Cartmel success was not just a flash in the pan.
