I Am Said I is taken to beat Winter Garden, with Homeleigh Mooncoin best of the others in this beginners' chase. After helping Ashley Farrant to secure the men's amateur title with wins between-the-flags, I Am Said I now has his attention turned to chasing and by all accounts has worked well enough at home to follow first time. With Teenoso on the dam's side, the suspicion is that he would ideally be suited by a bit of cut, but as he is still thriving, there is no harm in letting him have a run out here, and in truth he has been found a perfect opportunity to gain a confidence-boosting win over the bigger obstacles. Winter Garden has had the misfortune to find one too good in each of his last three outings, but has gone five years without visiting the winner's enclosure, so hardly inspires confidence, while Homeleigh Mooncoin needs to step up markedly on his chase debut at Southwell in May. If I Am Said I shows the same enthusiasm over fences as he did in the point-to-point arena, he can make an immediate impact in his new career.
