In depth

Verdict

Ian Williams has his string in terrific form and he tries Psychocandy in a tongue-tie in a bid to shed his maiden tag. Elkstone was only beaten a length-and-a-quarter by Grow Nasa Grow at Market Rasen and is 3lb better off but his record now stands at 0-24. Too Much Too Soon is lightly-raced under Rules and won easily at Warwick last month but will have to defy a penalty while Bafana Blue has gone up 6lb for winning over a shorter trip at Hexham. POSH TOTTY won at Warwick before finishing second at Newton Abbot. Jack Barber’s mare has gone up another 2lb since but Bryony Frost’s claim takes care of that and her mount shouldn’t be far away.
