TEMPSFORD is selected to win this handicap chase; the main dangers appearing to be Present Gale and Beauchamp Prince. Tempsford only recently returned from a long break and on his penultimate start showed the benefit of his first outing when scoring impressively. However his jumping left him down last time out at Fontwell but he remains a horse that could still be well handicapped. Present Gale, the stable companion of Tempsford is bred to be a chaser and showed much improved form to win last time out. He is now 7lb higher for that but given his unexposed profile he is another that could be on the right side of the assessor. Beauchamp Prince steps up in class here and faces a stiff task off top weight while Left Hand Drive if returning to form would also be worthy of some consideration but Tempsford is given the nod.
