In depth

Verdict

Brendan Powell looks to have unearthed a likely sort in Ricko and he is given the nod here. The New Zealand bred bids for a hat-trick in this chase and while he has had his jumping problems in the past, they look to have been ironed out. Bush Park looks a typical Robert Alner inmate and he is certainly on the upgrade. Whether he handles such a quick surface is something of a problem in assessing him as a likely winner today. Owen Roe made the best of others misfortune to land a maiden victory last time out and his form is treated with caution. Lightning Quest seemed sharper last time out after a spell over hurdles and should go well. Harasarah has form on heavy ground but has not sparkled of late.
