In depth

Verdict

Cornish Warrior is probably having a confidence-booster before returning to fences but this is such a modest heat that the top weight can’t be ignored. Stonemadforspeed has placed in three of his last four starts and could make the frame again but Racing Spirit was still beaten 15 lengths when second at Stratford and the winner has done nothing for the form since. North Star Oscar has failed to build on a victory over 2m4f at Ffos Las while course winner Oldabbey Bridge didn’t stay over this trip in May. MR LOVE could be thrown in back over timber on his first run for Dan Skelton so gets the nod ahead of course and distance winner Simply Lucky.
