    Verdict

Not the best race of the day and recent Bangor winner Snipe, who has been running well of late, is taken to prevail over the likes of Colneside Brook and Kingfisher Sunset. Colneside Brook to his credit has been running in better company than this and ran with credit at Wincanton when finishing third behind Supreme Piper on his latest outing, but needs to step up a gear. Kingfisher Sunset hails from the top northern yard of Sue Smith but on his level of form so far has to improve massively to trouble the winner. That brings us back to the selection Snipe who hails from a yard who always does well this time of year and who bids to defy a penalty after his recent handicap win.
