Verdict

CRAIGLANDS was quite highly tried when transferring to open handicaps from the hunting sphere and has not done too badly the last twice under the care of new handler, Ian Williams. This looks a good opportunity as he inhabits a workable mark for the current campaign and is the one to beat if repeating his close third in a Sandown handicap in February. Breaking Silence is the obvious threat but he's not the easiest, having made horribly heavy weather of landing a poor Southwell hunter chase. He was much better last time when runner-up in open handicap company though, whilst Pairc Na Gcapall cannot be ruled out despite looking in the handicapper's grip in latest chase outings.
