Verdict

NEARLY A GIFT's fifth at Chester to Gabrial looks better now with the latter having since won a decent conditions race at Beverley. She'll be better suited by this track and gets the vote ahead of Winter Hill, who showed enough on her debut at Newbury to suggest she can figure in this. Always Ends Well has failed to build on her second at Pontefract in April and Darling Lexi could prove best of the newcomers given her yard's terrific strike rate with this year's two-year-olds.
